2010 Fifa World Cup is scheduled to take place 11 June - 11 July 2010 in South Africa.

2010 Football World Cup qualification process began in August 2007 involved 204 national teams.

This will be the first time that the tournament has been hosted by an African nation, after South Africa beat

Morocco and Egypt in an all-African bidding process.

The draw for the finals took place on 4 December 2009 in Cape Town, South Africa.

The previous Fifa Football World Cup (soccer) was played in Germany in June - July 2006. The whole of Germany

uses Central European Time.

The final was in Berlin on 9th July 2006 at 20:00 CET (18:00 GMT). Winners: Italy. Next Soccer World Cup is in

South Africa in 2010.
